The Leader RF Signal Generator for Digital Broadcasts is an all-in-one unit that includes a TS generator, an encoder, a CN generator, and an up converter. Optional encoders can be installed to support various digital broadcast systems. The unit supports the switchable modulation method for easy transmission of a modulation signal at a channel frequency in the VHF (Very High Frequency) or UHF (Ultra High Frequency) band.
With pseudorandom (PN) signal sources and a BER counter, the generator can be used to perform BER measurements of receivers and tuners as well as to check video transport streams useful in actual broadcasts. You can also use the RF signal Generator as a comprehensive signal generator for STB or tuner production lines. The unit allows you to use an external TS signal or a single played back from the internal HDD along with an internal TS signal for audio and video checking, enabling pre-existing TS to be used in video and audio checking. In addition to this, BER measurement feature provides a comprehensive solution for testing of receivers.
The RF Signal Generator supports real-time MPEG-2 TS encoding and modulation, and also transport stream, which is applied to the DVB-ASI / SPI connector or saved on the HDD. With an 80 GB HDD storage capacity, the RoHs compliant signal generator can play back data requiring an ample amount of storage space. It also supports external HDD and DVD drive connectability and can store up to 100 preset conditions.
