The Dulce Systems 8TB PRO Q is a 4-bay desktop RAID storage system, designed for use in performance-intensive professional environments. It's certified for use with Final Cut Studio, Premiere and other popular editing suites. It supports ProRes 422, RED R3D & proxy, DV, DVCPRO HD, uncompressed SD/HD and 2K Film formats. PRO Q technology affords superior workflow and supports up to 11 real-time streams, depending on the video resolution. It has an all metal chassis, which provides for more efficient cooling and looks great amongst other high-end video gear.
The PRO Q implements the latest PCI-express Extender technology to provide fast, redundant storage with 8TB capacity. Its Host Bus Extender enables the extension of the computer's PCI-express signals to the PRO Q enclosure. The all metal chassis is capable of up to 8 lanes of the PCI-express speed, enabling the RAID controller to run at full speed - 20Gb/s. The PRO Q reaches speeds over 400 MB/s in RAID 0 mode and 300+ MB/s in the drive protected RAID 5 mode.
The 7200 RPM SATA 3Gb high-performance disk drives are hot-swappable and the Hardware RAID Controller supports RAID 0, RAID 1, RAID 3, RAID 5 and JBOD. A web-browser accessed RAID-Console provides quick and easy RAID management and it's compatible with PC, Mac and Linux. The PRO Q is also laptop compatible with purchase of the optional ExpressCard 34.
