The Solder-It Solder Pro 100 Soldering Iron/Torch features a power equivalent of about 30-100watts. This useful tool can be used just about anywhere and has a myriad of applications. The unit comes with a 1.6mm Conical Tip which can be used for soldering. Remove the tip and you have an effective blow torch. The included protective cap can help prevent accidental "burns" or personal injury.

does this self-ignite or do you have to have a lighter handy?

The Solder It Pro 100 is self igniting, yes. To ignite, one would lift up the ON/OFF switch to the On position to start the flow of gas, and then push the switch upward toward the tip to the maximum point to ignite, then release the switch back to the on position to stay on.
