I've been using a mic stand with long legs on a light weight base and frankly don't care for them, especially when your high price mic is attached. The long legs take up too much stage space and it's just not heavy enough on the bottom. In the 70's, I had an Atlas triangle base mic stand and lost the 7/8 to 5/8 adapter years ago. I knew the 7/8 to 5/8 adapter had to be out there somewhere, but I always hit dead ends in the search. Sure enough, B&H had it and now I got it. Great store to shop and buy anything in the music biz.
