This adapter is for the older Sony E mount cameras that utilize the NP-FW50. Since the A7S III uses the newer NP-FZ100 battery, the IndiPRO Tools AC Power Supply with NP-FZ100 Dummy Battery, BH # INACSA73 would be a better option.

Why isn't this compatible with the ZV-1? ZV-1 powered by USB event full 1.5 amps runs the battery down during filming.
The Sony AC Adapter for Select Sony Cameras (B&H# SOACPW20) is equipped with a dummy battery (sometimes called a DC coupler) that is in the right shape (and with its electrical contacts in the right positions) to work with Sony cameras that use the Sony NP-FW50 battery. However, your Sony ZV-1 takes the smaller Sony NP-BX1 battery since it will be used with smaller devices.
