The Axis Communications AXIS P1343-E Network Camera comes packaged with an IP66 rated housing and is ready for outdoor installation in rain or shine.
Along with Day/Night functionality, this network camera with a varifocal 3-8 mm DC-iris lens and remote back focus uses an array of electronic picture controls to help maintain image visibility in poor or challenging lighting environments. This camera also employs wide dynamic range technology to compensate for high contrast and backlit scenes.
The AXIS P1343-E camera's digital PTZ supports individually configurable H.264 and Motion JPEG streams with a maximum SVGA resolution of 30 fps. Each video stream can be individually adjusted for frame rates and bandwidth to suit a particular network structure. The unit can operate in temperature ranges from Operation in -30°C to +50°C when powered by IEEE 802.3af compliant midspan or -40°C to +50°C with AXIS T8123 High PoE midspan (midspan not included).
A unique feature of this camera is its pixel counter function, which calculates the number of pixels contained in a given part of the image, for example a person's face. This is an important feature for satisfying certain jurisdictions that require proof of resolution before an image can be submitted for evidence.
In addition to motion and audio detection, this camera has an active tampering alarm - the ability to sense if the lens is blocked, spray painted or otherwise tampered with. This camera was also designed for easy installation, with a remote back focus function and the ability to receive power via the Ethernet cable (PoE). The included wall mount's internal cable channel keeps the network cable neat and secure inside the bracket. An SD/SDHC memory card slot allows images to be stored right on the camera, and the unit also has two-way audio. Also included are a removable sunshield, Torx T20 screwdriver, and IP66 rated cable glands.
