question

Is this comfortable?
Asked by: Jay S.
I've worn versions of this headphone for very long periods of time in the studio, but now that I'm not in the studio anymore, I've purchased them for my employees who want great sound and comfort and may be sitting and coding for long periods. I think they are a great set.

question

what is the difference between the AKG K 240 studio and the K 240 MK II headphones?
Asked by: Anonymous
The AKG K 240 Studio has a slightly different frequency response curve than the AKG K 240 MKII. The AKG K 240 MKII has a flatter curve than the AKG K 240 Studio. The AKG K 240 Studio is about +3 dB below 200 Hz, about -2 dB between 1 kHz - 4 kHz, and about +5 dB between 6 kHz - 7 kHz than the AKG K 240 MKII. It is also because of the AKG K 240 MKII's flatter frequency response curve, the AKG K 240 MKII costs more than twice than price of the AKG K 240 Studio. If neutral sound signature is what you are looking for, get the AKG K 240 MKII if you can afford, instead of the AKG K 240 Studio.

question

Is it good for musicians(keys)
Asked by: Anonymous
I am a musician and home recording enthusiast. I had a pair of these headphones 20 years ago and I decided to buy them again. They are just really good, basic, headphones. Whether you play keys or other instruments should not be what makes you decide. Headphones should give an accurate, flat response for whatever music you listen to so you can make decisions about your tone. I really dont want to spend over $100 for headphones. I only use these at night (when its too quiet to listen to studio monitors or recording when you cant have the monitors bleed thru the track so these were really the choice that made the most sense for me.
