ZEISS 2153-707 Overview

The ZEISS Front Lens Cap serves as a replacement cap for use with any of the ZEISS compact prime (CP/CP.2) cine lenses utilizing both EF and PL mounts. The cap protects the front lens element from dust and scratches when not in use.

Note:
Lens cap will not fit the 50mm/T2.1 Macro lens, which has a larger (134mm) front diameter than the other CP/CP.2 lenses (114mm).

Not much to say, but does what it's supposed to do. Heavy duty material and reasonably priced replacement accessory for what could have been given a boutique specialty item price.

It's a lens cap, it fits on the lens it was designed for, actually with a slightly tighter fit than the original cap that came with the lens, which isn't a bad thing. Reasonablly priced considering the cost of the lenses it fits.

This will be able to fit 114mm diameter lenses. It cannot do any bigger sizes.

The ZEISS Front Lens Cap (EF/PL Mounts) is compatible with some but not all of the arri Ultra primes, specifically fitting the few that have 114mm front lens diameters.

There are two ZEISS lens caps for cine lenses. Item #0097-027 is for lenses with front diameters of 114mm, while item 1031-244 is for 95mm.
