A Go-To Paper for Semi Gloss and Great Gamut

Really nice blacks, good color rendition, lovely semi smooth texture. I use it with a Canon printer with a bespoke ICC profile. The one thing you have to watch out for - the fibers come off. Little long rectangles of white will appear in your blacks or dark areas if you are not careful. This is because the fiber comes off after printing, and the ink with it. I brush the paper before printing to dislodge any loose fibers, and then spray the print after to affix any remaining loose fibers. If your print is mostly white or light colors, you won't notice it because the fibers are tiny. Overall, it is an excellent paper, very similar to Canson Platine Fiber.

Should I choose the Exhibition Fibre paper ...

Should I choose the Exhibition Fibre paper profile or Epson Luster, as some have mentioned? I'm using an Epson p600 printer. Many thanks!
Asked by: Darren
You should use the profile for the given paper if Epson has it available. Although the Exhibition Fibre Paper from Epson has been changed recently. You might want to check that with Epson.

I have several (admittedly old) Signature Worthy Sample Packs with this paper. However, the specifications for it seem to be different ... e.g., 95% Brightness vs. 111% Brightness. Is this the same paper? Has Epson changed its specs in the past few years for this paper?

Depends on your printer. Download the profile on your printers website

question

Does this paper contain optical brighteners? And if so, do we have any information on archival quality? Would there be a difference in longevity of b&w vs. color prints?
Asked by: Anonymous
Exhibition Fiber is a 325-gsm paper with an exceptional white base and is capable of deep, rich blacks. While it has a fiber paper base and is acid-and lignin-free, it does contain optical brighteners. According to Wilhelm Research, framed under UV glass using pigment inks, they say about 150 years. Album/dark storage is around 200 years. This is for both black and white, and color using pigment inks.

Is this the same as the Epson Signature Worthy Exhibition Fiber Paper? The cover of the box I currently have says Signature Worthy on it, but this one doesn't seem to have that. Are they 2 different papers?
