Arca-Swiss 802306 Overview

The Arca-Swiss L-Bracket is a universal L-shaped bracket that allows you to mount a DSLR or medium-format camera to a head in portrait orientation. One segment of the bracket features a 1/4"-20 screw to which to mount your camera, and both this part and the segment perpendicular feature an Arca-Swiss plate at bottom for mounting to a head.

The two Arca-Swiss plates are adjustable, as they slide on rails and lock in position via a lever. In moments, the plate and the attached camera can slide completely off the rails for a quick change to handheld operation.

The Arca-Swiss plates perfectly fit Arca-Swiss Quickset Classic quick-release systems, and they also fit most other Arca-Swiss-style clamps. The L-Bracket also features a 3/8"-16 thread.

Finally, the perfect L bracket for the Leica S Medium Format DSLR cameras!!!

After trying different universal L brackets for the Leica S cameras--I've finally found the ONE!!! This Arca Swiss L-bracket fits the Leica S body perfectly, and it's the perfect strength to handle the weight of these cameras and lenses--plus it fits snugly (without being too snug) in the Really Right Stuff lever release clamp.

Solid. Heavy. Will probably do anything asked of it.

Purchased for a Fuji H-S2 with battery grip, for which no-one else has yet managed to come up with a more 'traditional' dedicated L-plate. This is certainly big, solid and heavy. It will probably outlast me, and because of this, functional as it obviously is, I'm not sure it will be destined to live permanently on this 'walk-around' camera. It does seem to be the proverbial hammer to crack a nut and as such, despite the fact I was entirely aware of all these observations before I purchased this, I have a feeling that if/when RRS/TLT or whoever comes up with something more dedicated/svelte, it will end up on one of my bigger, heavier bodies that are always tripod mounted. It is extremely adaptable, fitting easily on 35mm SLR bodies with or without grips, as well as bigger Fuji medium format bodies. It doesn't get in the way any more than other grips, and it's easy to hold when not tripod-mounted. You can also easily move the 'portrait' side grip far enough from the doors on the side of the body to fit any connections for mikes/computers, etc. In this case where the grip batteries are accessed by sliding the tray out to the left, the bars with side Arca plate are easily and quickly removed without tools in order to gain access. As you can see from the picture, the bent 'legs' or tubes of the bracket are of different lengths; likewise, the two Arca plates are of different sizes, meaning that you can swap around everything to fit whatever you want, within reason. This does make it highly versatile. At the end of the day, if you're using tripods, you might argue that more weight equals more inertia, and so isn't necessarily a handicap, but it's probably overkill for a smaller body like the H-S2. For the time being, it seems to be the best option for me. I'm by no means unhappy with it.

So with the bh-55 and screw knob panning clamp ( REBH55PCPRO ) this l bracket 802306 will be very tight and secure ( not moving at all ? )

Does this work with arca swiss monoball Z1? does it need adapters to work with canon 6D + arca swiss monoball Z1 head?

As long as your Arca Swiss Monoball Z1 has the quick release assembly, the Arca-Swiss L-Bracket would be compatible with that head. The bracket can be used with the Canon 6D as well.
