iAdapt Mini DisplayPort to HDMI Adapter M / F is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 51.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Unreliable and Very Frustrating I used two of these to connect a 2014 MacBook Pro to two Asus ASVS247HP 24 monitors. After a few months, the Mac would occasionally not recognize and address the displays. I kept switching ports around, power cycling the monitors, rebooting the Mac. Sometimes it would work. I finally undertook rigorous troubleshooting and figured out that the Kanex iAdapts were the problem. In a fit of frustration when one stopped working completely, I hit it on the table and to my surprise, the metal cover popped off and out fell the LLCC packaged transcoder chip. Never would a properly soldered LLCC package fall off the board like that due to a moderate impact. Kanex is trash.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works wonderfully This works just fine with Macbook Pros that have Mini Displayport or Thunderbolt ports. This DOES support audio output. Keep in mind that the early Macbook Pros with Mini DP did not support audio output via the jack. It was later enabled. So if you're having trouble with audio, it's not the adapter, it may be that your computer doesn't offer audio output via Mini DP. Even on compatible computers, you may have to go into your system preferences and adjust your audio output. When I connected the adapter to my 15 MBP, the video feed went to my TV instantly, but I needed to adjust the audio output and switch it to HDMI before audio kicked in. Once I did that, it worked perfectly. It's awesome to be able to connect my laptop to my TV with 1 cable and get full audio and video. Definitely recommend using this adapter and a normal HDMI cable, rather than a special Mini DP to HDMI cable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome I'm actually shocked how good this works. We've been watching Hulu shows and films from the itunes library on our Samsung HD tv and it works great. A little off on filling the screen, but we're getting 98% of the image. I'm a stickler for this sort of thing, and I can live with that. All told, very, very pleased.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works Great. This works great to hook up my computer to my T.V. However, I thought it was supposed to transmit audio as well. I've only tried it once, but I've only managed to get it to transfer the picture, and not the audio.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Effective I use it with old (2 y/o) macbook 13inch the only problem is the old computer doesn't send sound trough the adapter.. other than that, it is very good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Adapter for a iMac Editing System I have been using this adapter for 2 weeks now and it is the best I have found anywhere. It works great in hooking up our large HD client video editing television screen to our new iMac edting system. The screen is 55 inches and a LCD screen in full HD with this HDMI / Thunderboldt adapter. We liked it so well we ordered a second one. You can't go wrong with this adapter and B&H. B&H is the best in equipment expertise and knowledge. You could not ask for a better price!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works like a charm! After reading reviews on several other adapters I decided to purchase the Kanex and I couldn't be happier. I am not computer literate but I simply plugged the adapter into my iMac, attached 25' of HDMI cable plugged into my HDTV and started watching a downloaded movie on my TV. To get the audio I simply held option while clicking the speaker icon at the top right of the screen and selecting the option for my TV. Wish I had bought this a long time ago...
