The Yamaha DTXT3 Drum Trigger Module is the virtual sound source, or "brain" behind the Yamaha DTXTREME III electronic drum sets. The DTXT3 features up to 1,115 internal drum voices, and 211 melodic voices. Built in sequencing enables drummers to record performances, and construct up to 50 songs. There are 16 individual outputs, trigger connections, USB ports and sampling for playing custom sounds. Additional features include LED and LCD displays, sliders for quick level adjustment, metronome, headphone output for quiet practicing, and a digital output.
LCD Dispay
The large, backlit LCD display interacts with the soft-function keys below the screen making it easy to navigate the DTXTREMEIII module quickly.

Details of the current performance --such as the kit and tempo-- are displayed here.
Mode
Use the dedicated mode buttons for instant access to all of DTXTREMEIII's features.
Transport
Use this button to reproduce a performance or to record via the sequencer.
Sliders
Use these sliders to adjust the volumes of the main outputs, phones, click, accompaniment, and drum voice groups.
AUX In / Sampling In
Use this terminal to connect to external audio equipment and play drums in accompaniment to music, or to input sound for sampling.
Outputs
In addition to stereo outputs, the DTXTREMEIII has six individual outputs and a S/PDIF digital output to connect to sound reinforcement or recording systems.
Phones
This terminal is the connection point for headphones when playing DTXTREMEIII in a studio or private setting.
Pad Inputs
You can connect up to 15 pads to the DTXTREMEIII module. Up to 13 of these can be two or three zone pads.
MIDI
These terminals are used for interconnection with an external MIDI device.
USB
These terminals are used to connect with a PC and a USB memory device. Use these terminals when exchanging information in MIDI or wave data form with DTXTREMEIII, such as when saving a performance or uploading previously edited settings.
