Its flat frequency response and selectable settings—two low-cut filter options and a -15 dB pad—make the KSM44A/SL honest and versatile, so it can be used on anything from vocals and guitars to drums and piano.
The cardioid, omnidirectional, and figure-8 polar patterns of the KSM44A/SL allow it work optimally as a close mic, room mic, or single mic for multiple instruments. The built-in pop protection utilizes three separate layers to minimize noise from vocal plosives, breaths, and even light wind. Internal shock-mounting helps to decouple the mic from sources of vibration that could otherwise transfer from the mic body to the capsule. Being a solid-state XLR condenser mic, the KSM44A/SL requires 48V phantom power. Since it comes with a ShureLock shockmount, ShureLock swivel adapter, velveteen pouch, and hard shell carrying case, it is equally ready for the studio and the stage.
