The CMX2000V from QSC is a professional stereo amplifier that offers terrific flexibility and outstanding audio quality in a compact rackmount design. Designed for superior performance, the amplifier has a 3-tier Class-H architecture and high-grade linear output devices to deliver a flat frequency response with low distortion. The Class-H circuitry is highly efficient to reduce current draw and waste heat, and to keep the amplifier's weight down. Surface Mount Technology triples small-signal component density, enabling high power in a compact design.
The amplifier is able to switch between stereo and bridged mono modes via rear-panel DIP switches, driving a variety of impedances. It can also drive 70/100V distributed systems in bridged or stereo mode. The unit offers XLR, 1/4", and barrier strip inputs, along with Speakon and terminal block outputs, allowing you to connect to a wide variety of sound devices and systems.
The front panel has recessed, detented gain controls for dialing in your settings quickly and accurately. A tamper-proof security cover is provided to prevent unwanted gain changes. The system employs a DC protection system to prevent loudspeaker damage in the event of an output transistor failure. DC voltage is never passed directly to your speakers, keeping them safe. Automatic current limiting is also provided to protect the amplifier from short circuits. Low-noise cooling fans provide a rear-to-front airflow to keep components cool and running reliably.
