Veracity VHW-HWC Overview

The Veracity Highwire Ethernet over Coax Converter (Pair) converts analog video cables into a high-speed network connection. Using the converter, you can replace analog IP cameras with IP cameras without installing any new cables.

Speed, duplex, and crossover are sensed on connection of the Highwire Ethernet over Coax Converter, thus requiring no setup. No configuration is required when you connect the unit to each end of the coaxial cable, as the link will be established automatically.

The Ethernet over Coax Converter is invisible to Ethernet data, and does not need a MAC or IP address. Besides auto-optimizing for all 75 ohm coaxial cables, the long connection range of the converter makes it suitable for network connections beyond 328' (100m).

Featuring a universal power input, the Highwire Ethernet over Coax Converter is ideal for low-voltage installations and can also be used on legacy coaxial cables. Compared to Cat5 cables, the coaxial cables coil and bend appropriately, making the converter apt for allowing network access to elevator carriages, VoIP, security, lift panel, and other devices.
