Is this the original M705 or the new 'bad' one?
I've owned both this model on this page and the old one, and I have to say the older one was better because the laser doesn't detect the surface when you pick it up. That's the only problem I have with this one.

Will this work off the same receiver(plug-in) ...
Will this work off the same receiver(plug-in) that powers the Logitech MX Keys wireless keyboard?
This uses the the Logitech Unify receiver, the MX Keys could have came with either the Unify Receiver or the LogiBolt receiver depending on when it was purchased. If your MX Keys came with the Bolt one, then you will have to use the Unify receiver that comes with this mouse for the mouse. And if it came with the Unify receiver, you would simply have to download the "Logitech Unifying Software" to reprogram the unify receiver to accept both.

question
how do you get this mouse to start working?
If you have Windows 7 and above, insert the usb adapter in a usb port. Put batteries in the mouse. Turn the power on using the switch placed on the bottom of the mouse and wait for Windows to detect the mouse and install the drivers.
