The Tiffen 77mm Close-Up Lens Set is a set of three close-up lenses for use in achieving macro-like results with almost any lens you pair them with. Close-up lenses are essentially diopters that you place over your lens in order to lessen the minimum focus distance by the amount specified on the filter. You can combine the filters together to increase their strength and to fine tune your close-up settings.

question
There are single and dual element close-up lenses. The single ones, produce chromatic aberration (unwished yellow and blue line contours) and the double ones dont. Are this tiffen lenses single or dual element. Do they produce CA?
These are single element. Chromatic aberration will depend on your lens setup.

question
Is this just for digital photography?
It shouldn't be. it's a set of 3 lenses, just like the ones I used to use with my 35mm camera, but large enough to fit my digital telephoto. With both cameras, autofocus and manual focus work normally with the close-up lenses. There should be no problem.

question
What is the difference between using extension tubes and close up filters?
Both products accomplish the same thing. This set of filters will allow you greater control than one extension tube. Other factors to consider are cost, ease of use, etc.
