question

does this mount on the back of the 1710?
Asked by: gregg
I dont use the portabrace... its in a pelican case and when removed sits without a cover. I use Vmount batteries (with an adapter). Like Litepanels though, Ive noticed that the monitor gets hotter using batteries, so you might take that into consideration covering it during use.

question

How does this mount exactly?
Asked by: Anonymous
It has a smooth back. No mounting holes. I don't think it was designed to mount to anything. I use it to power LED lights via battery that have 4 pin XLR power input but no battery mount. The cord is long enough to run the light up just over 6 feet leaving the battery resting on the ground.
