RODE MICON-1 Reviews

Works well. Solid construction.

This adapter enables me to connect my Rode Lav mic to the Tascam DR10L. The plug seems to be a bit large in diameter for the 1/8 jack on the Tascam unit, so I try to take care when using it. Seems like it should have been included with the Rode Lav mic, since 1/8 is a very common connection. Either way, it works well and appears to be of solid construction.

Piece of junk

If I could get away with a NO STAR rating I would. First of all, the product I received (although Micon 1 stamped on it) had no locking screw. Secondly, the stem on it is too thick to insert into the plug. I was hoping this would be better than the one that came with the lav since that one fell apart after only a few uses. Due to the price, it wasn't worth returning, let alone hoping to get a better replacement. I have Sennheiser lavs I can use. Thought this would be a good spare. Ill just use this lav with equipment not requiring the Sennheiser configuration.

question

Will this work with a RodeLink wireless kit? I'm trying to get a new Lav, and I know I need this adapter
Asked by: Daniel
The MICON-2 is the adapter you want for Rode's filmmaker kit and news gathering kit.
