The Boris FX Job Slate for Final Cut Pro is a Final Cut plug-in that lets you automatically create commercial slates based on XML files received from the Ad-ID advertising identification and management system. Job Slate imports Ad-ID XML files, automatically parses the data in them, and creates a commercial slate, without need for manual data entry. Job Slate is specifically for Final Cut and particularly for versions 6 and up, currently not including FCP X (but prospectively an FCP X upgrade/update will be released).
The text style and layout, and the font type and size, are fully customizable in the text window. A great benefit of the software is that changes to the actual text are never saved, and data integrity is thus preserved and unintentional changes to the imported Ad-ID information avoided.
The system offers pre-installed backdrops and also provides the flexibility to create custom image plates. Entire text objects can be moved and positioned relative to the background and furthermore their scale can be changed with Final Cut Pro controls.
