Da-Lite 82291EV Pro Imager Vertical Masking System (Video 60 x 80" to HDTV 45 x 80"

The Dalite Pro Imager Video 60 x 80" to HDTV 45 x 80" Vertical Masking System is a sophisticated and intriguing way to get multi-format projection on one screen. When used in conjunction with one of Dalite's Imager, DA-Snap, Perm-Wall or other rear projection screens. In fact, it can be used over any other permanently wall mounted screen. It masks the screen from an NTSC format to either an HDTV or Letterbox format.

The motor is an oiled-for-life, quick reversal type with built-in thermal overload cut-off to prevent burn-outs. It also features an advanced braking system that stops when asked and prevents "drifting".  

The frame is finished with Dalite's Pro-Trim - as light absorbing materially that not only produces a stylish but functional edge to the screen. Pro-Trim will absorb any ambient light that happens to contaminate the surrounding area of the screen.  The mechanism will lower and employ Dalite's "Stay-Flat" masking system that will assure an undistorted image. The masking fabric is joined to the slat bar and provides a perfect mask that is equally balanced on each side of the screen.

The system masks screen equally from top to bottom, closing symmetrically to a predetermined alternate format. The motorized roller opposes a high-quality spring roller with heavy-duty spring in a one-piece steel roller. The masking fabric is mounted to an aluminum slat bar and finished matte black and operated by two take-up straps of black woven polypropylene. The minimum break strength is 200 lbs. The bar is completely concealed by side channels at all times.
