ViewSonic VMP71 Overview

The NexTV VMP71 Digital Media Player from ViewSonic is a compact digital media player that can connect to your TV via an HDMI connection. It also has an optical S/PDIF output, allowing you to connect it to a legacy receiver that does not support HDMI audio. Component and composite RCA jacks are also available for analog connection.

You'll be able to use the player to view all types of digital content on your TV -- including movies, music, and photos. The player features USB 2.0 ports for external drive connectivity, and you can also opt to install your own 3.5" SATA drive for storage as well. The media player features a built-in Ethernet port for wired network connectivity, and you have the option of connecting an optional USB Wi-Fi adapter, making it easy to play media that is shared on any computer in your network.

Full Connectivity With Easy Network and Wi-Fi Set Up
It's easy to access your network through the Ethernet port -- or via 802.11n Wi-Fi with an optional wireless adapter -- along with HDMI, AV composite video, S/PDIF and USB ports. You can also stream digital content from a network thanks to UPnP support.
Internet Services for Weather and Photo Sharing
The VMP71 supports instant weather or photo network sharing sites, including Flickr and Picasa. The menu also provides the option to access personal accounts.

Supports Internal Hard Drive for Easy Content Storage
In addition to supporting external storage devices, the VMP71 is HDD-ready. Install an optional 3.5" SATA HDD and enjoy great mobility to upload and share content.
