The Slik U8000 Tripod is rated to support up to 4.4 pounds and most lens and Canon 90D combinations will be less than 4 pounds. However, length is a factor in tripod balance too. I need a U8000 quick release plate and also the flat part underneath it with the SLIK logo. What is the part with the logo called?

I have broken the handle for the center column of Silk U 8000 tripod. Can I replace it?
No idea of what it costs to replace it. Perhaps cheaper buy another new one?
