MuxLab 500016 Overview

The MuxLab 500016 S-Video Balun allows transmission of a single S-Video signal up to 1000' (305m) in a point-to-point connection via Cat5E/6 UTP cable, eliminating the need for bulky S-Video patch cables. When used in conjunction with MuxLab's Audio-Video Distribution Hub (500200), the S-Video Balun allows S-Video programming to be distributed via UTP.

The balun is used in pairs and allows S-Video equipment such as DVD players, VCR, satellite receivers, etc to be connected to any convenient modular outlet.

Besides using Cat5E/6 as an alternative to S-Video cabling, the balun also makes changes / additions to modular outlet connections faster and easier. The compact balun measures 1.875 x 1.0" and allows for hassle-free wiring. It features 20 Hz to 20 KHz audio bandwidth, and an enclosure made of fire retardant plastic. The balun is ideal for use in classroom video distribution, commercial and home audio/video systems, hospital video training, video conferencing, and video kiosks.
