Purpose Built for ScanSnap

I needed a reliable bag to carry and protect my ScanSnap model ix1600 between NY and Florida about 1,200 miles of highway driving. I haven't used the bag yet, but the ScapSnap fit perfectly and there is a little extra space for the power brick. The bag has some padding (would have liked more padding but it appears to be sufficient for a soft bag). In addition to the sturdy built-in handle, the bag has a nice shoulder strap that is detachable. The flap opens and seals shut with a zipper and has about a 1" lip that completely covers the zipper presumably to resist water and dust intrusion although I don't think it is 100% waterproof. The zipper is a little difficult to operate as it is not a simple straight zipper as it follows the curve of the bag, but the build appears to be good quality. It is aI soft bag, so don't plan to put anything heavy on top of it and am considering wrapping the ScanSnap is a large plastic bag for extra water and dust protection.

Very well made. Tremendous value.

I ordered this after taking my ScanSnap ix500 with me to a vacation getaway and nearly having the scanner tip out of a box of files when unpacking. The case seems very well thought-out, right down to flaps over the zippers to guard against moisture. It is much more rugged/apparently durable than I would have expected for the price. The hwole thing seems to me to be designed to protect a product of which the company is proud, rather than sold for profit. Even if I might use it only a few times per year, very glad I ordered it and would do so again.

The Fujitsu ScanSnap Carrying Case is not compatible for use with the Fujitsu ScanSnap SV600 Contactless Scanner. The above carrying case is meant for the desktop scanners. Unfortunately the sv600 does not have a case to carry or travel case as this is not a compact scanner like the desktops ix1300, ix1400 and ix1600.

The Epson FastFoto FF-680W is larger than the scanners the Ricoh ScanSnap Carrying Case is designed for, so it would not be recommended.
