Meade Star Chart and Flashlight Set

The front cover of the Star Chart and Flashlight Set from Meade is a glow-in-the-dark planisphere with the usual rotating dial to set the time and date of the night sky that the star-watcher wants to view. Beyond the front- cover planisphere are another 20 pages of celestial charts and information. Besides including star maps for Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter night skies, the booklet provides many naked eye, binocular, telescopic star targets arranged by constellation as well as a rear appendix that provides brief descriptions of star magnitudes, types and classifications by spectral class. It is printed on glossy heavy stock paper.

The LED flashlight that accompanies the Star Chart is selectable from white to red illumination to preserve night vision. It features a very bright beam from 16 LED's. It is constructed of heavy duty metal with a threaded battery compartment. 3 "AAA" user-supplied batteries are required.
