The Paramount SP-1S 12" sync cord has a Sunpak single-pin connection on one end and a standard male PC (post connection) connection on the other end.
To connect a Sunpak flash to the camera's PC socket, for off-camera operation.
Note:
Not for the Sunpak 383 flash.
