    Olympus 260584 reviews

Pen Casual Case for E-P1, E-PL1 Pen Digital or SL1 Cameras is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 38.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from No good for Olympus Stylus 1 Even though it is bulky attached to your belt, unlike the Peastone cases for my Canon G-15 and Lumix ZS30, the Olympus Stylus 1 is a very awkward fit in this case. It came free with the camera, but I am now having to look for a sensible alternate. The very useful, good viewfinder on the Olympus protrudes, so the camera cannot be carrying in your pocket, nor does it fit in most small cases. Still debating whether to send back this very fine camera with very serious design (practicality) flaws. To B & H's credit, the camera dropped almost ten per cent in price a few days after I bought and the refunded the reduction amount with no problem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well Made Case Good fit for an Olympus Pen with the standard 14-42 zoom. Case has a zippered pocket behind flap on front and another mesh one inside top, so ther's ample room for extra batteries and memory cards. The top zips closed and has the adjustable squeeze clasp on front for added protection. On back is a 1.5 wide belt loop for up to a 2.25 belt. The case comes with an adjustable web strap with sturdy polymer spring clips. Nice, well made case. It has a rugged rip-stop exterior, internal high density foam walls and a soft cloth interior (light gray). The only drawback is that it protrudes a little too much (4 front-to-back) for regular belt use, and is a bit too roomy for a Pen Mini with a pancake lens.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Quite a snug fit for the E-PL2 kit Since Olympus lists this case on their web site as an accessory for the E-PL2, I'm commenting based on using the case with that camera. The E-PL2 comes with a revised 14-42mm kit lens that is longer, when collapsed, than the older 14-42mm lens that came with the E-PL1. As a result, fitting an E-PL2 with the 14-42mm inside this case is a *very* snug fit. Add a filter to the 14-42mm and it is almost impossible to fit the camera plus mounted lens inside. However, the Panasonic 20mm f/1.7 mounted on an E-PL2 is a good fit for the case, especially with a filter mounted on the lens.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for EP-1 I try to always carry a camera with me, and prefer a belt attached case. This case finally enables me to carry my EP-1 + 20 mm Pan-lens with joy and ease. It's very well constructed with sturdy materials. The belt loop seems short and stiff enough to avoid the case to start wiggling. It's actually very comfortable to wear. I'm thinking of taking the shoulder strap off my camera and maybe find a smaller hand-strap instead as the camera now will be either in the case or in my hand. The outside pouch is big enough for a spare battery and some SD cards. This is a must have for casual/daily use. As it makes carrying the camera so easy, I claim it even improves the camera's function :-)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Olympus Quality Again I bought this case for quick travel access to my Olympus Pen E-P1 w/ 14-42mm attached. It is everything I expected and more. The camera drops in easily, yet feels secure. The case has two opposing zippers on the main compartment and a snap buckle on the outside for extra security. There is a mesh internal pocket (with security zipper) for extra memory cards and a another zippered pocket on the outside, perfect for an extra battery, pocket money/ID, etc. It comes with a belt loop and a removable shoulder strap. Great purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tight but works I've got bigger cases for when I want to take some lenses, flash, etc. with. But for my EPL1 and 14-42 with filter, it works fine when wanting to carry light. Since the camera's got to fit in sideways, any bigger lens wouldn't work. I can get two extra batteries, two extra cards in the mesh interior pocket (a tight fit) and the VF2 in the front. I also use a metal lens hood and run the main buckle through, so it carries a surprising amount of stuff. The newer 14-42 VII might be a slight bit longer, I'm not sure. This case should fit any with a 14-42 VI or shorter, such as the Panasonic 14mm,20mm or Olympus 17mm. It seems made very well for how reasonably priced it is, and makes a very small package out of an EPL1 with kit lens. They should have made it just a tad wider and maybe hogher, then it could have carried the camera in a down pointing fashion (holster style), giving some room for a bit wider and longer lens, and it wouldn't have noticeably increased the outside dimensions.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Casual Case Item used to house camera during transport in luggage or on my person Case is small Great Case is light Great Case just fits the Pen Camera Belt loop good feature Small zipper pocket holds perhaps 2 or 3 memory cards Two zippers and fold over cover and clasp easy to close If you want to use camera quickly, not a good choice, as must unclip, and unzip to gain access. For security in crowded places tight fit and two covers are good features.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Case fits fine I saw several reviewers say that this case was too small for the E-PL2 which made me a little nervous but I took a leap of faith and bought it anyway. I found that I have no problem with the fit of the case. With a filter attached to the lens it is a little snug but not enough to bother me - it still goes in and out of the case without much effort. The case itself itself is very nice in my opinion as long as you don't mind a snug fit.
