Libec P110 Overview

The P110(S) Pedestal System with P110 Column & DL-10RB Dolly from Libec features the P110 Column and DL-10RB Dolly, offering seamless movement of midrange cameras and lightweight teleprompters. A double-bearing system at the base prevents unsteady movement caused by sudden vertical motion. With a maximum load capacity of 66 lb, it is designed for broadcast studio shooting.

You can adjust the air pressure in the pneumatic column corresponding to the attached camera and maintain it by tightening the lock knobs, thereby securing the camera and allowing long shoots. A safety valve protects against over-pressurizing the pneumatic column. In addition to the tracking locking mechanism, the 4.9" double-wheel casters have adjustable cable guards. A double stopper ensures that the wheels and axle shafts are secured.

Haven't used it for too long now, so can't speak to the longevity of the product, but it is made very well. This is a pedestal to compliment our set of 3 Vinten peds, and yet it feels every bit as sturdy as those. The leg spread is actually much wider than the Vintens. Only gripes are that the wheel locks are a little tricky, and it seems like the palstic may no hold up to constant locking and unlocking. And the clearance between the ball mount and the top of the pedestal is a little small (see attached photo)...in our case I'm using a Miller head and the head lock only fit with a bit of disassembly.

Used as the support for our main canera in a studio setting. It has added to the shots we can produce with very smooth movments while staying on the subject we are filming. This is a great product, and somthing I've wanted for years but could not justify the cost. The price point of this is where I needed to be and offers all the features of units costing 3 or 4 times more.

Will a Sachtler FSB8 head with the standard long ...

Will a Sachtler FSB8 head with the standard long tie down fit this using a 100-75mm bowl adapter?

The standard long tiedown of the Sachtler FSB 8 MK II Fluid Head with Sideload Mechanism may not fit in the Libec P110(S) Pedestal System with P110 Column & DL-10RB Dolly. It would be recommended to use a head such as the Libec RHP85 Fluid Head with PH-8B Extendable Pan Handles, BH #LIRHP85, for best compatibility.

What is the minimum weight the pedestal will hold?

The Libec P110(S) Pedestal System with P110 Column & DL-10RB Dolly does not have a listed minimum weight as the pedestal can be filled with or release air to match the payload weight up to 66 lb.

What's the footprint of the pedestal (how much space does it take on the ground)? Need to know width of the base to see if it'll fit on a platform or not.

The diameter of the Libec P110(B) Pneumatic Pedestal is 37.40 inches or 950mm.

It does include an air pump. The air pump is a hand pump and is attached to one of the supports on the dolly.
