The HDA from Mackie is a 2-way powered arrayable loudspeaker that delivers high-definition audio from a lightweight and compact design. The all-wood birch cabinet houses a 12" neodymium woofer and a pair of Beyma 1.7" compression tweeters to provide crisp, natural audio reproduction with a wide frequency response. The speaker has a 110° x 20° constant curvature line array design. It can be configured with other speakers in a number of ways. Up to 4 HDA units can be flown with a pair of HD1801 subwoofers, or you can ground stack up to 3 loudspeakers on a single subwoofer or flybar. You can even pole mount a pair of array speakers on a single subwoofer or on a tripod.
Internal Class-D amplifiers provide a combined peak power of 1200W for an incredibly strong performance with low distortion. The efficient amplifier design results in fast recovery and high SPL levels. Built-in HD digital processing includes patented acoustic correction, transducer time alignment and phase correction, and a precision 2-way crossover. All of these elements combine to deliver the best sound experience possible. There are 3 user-selectable voicing modes, letting you adjust the tuning and tone to fit your specific application. Integrated limiting and protection circuitry keep the system operating smoothly and reliably. The speaker offers 4 M10 fly points, plus integrated flyware for easy array setup. An optional flybar and subwoofer flyware kit are available separately.
