I used this paper pack to decide what paper I should use for a large-scale product. Great stuff. My personal favorites are probably Cold Press Bright, Velvet, and Hot Press Natural.
Epson can't be bothered to label their paper samples, so it's a coin toss trying to determine which paper is which. I guessed wrong and burnt through some paper and ink until I could verify which paper was which. Red River Paper labels their sample papers with a small printout of the name on each sheet so there is NO guess work, which is much better. Red River also provides a chart that gives the cost of ink per print, which is enormously helpful. It's little things like this that ad up. At the end of the day as professional photographers/printers it's our job to get the best product at the lowest price to our customers. The quality of the papers (once you figure it out) is excellent..HOWEVER...the papers are offered in limited sizes which again makes it difficult for us. I need my paper to be available from 4x6 to 40x60 for when a client invariably ask for different sized prints. Having to deliver different types of paper is a real pain for us, and annoyance to the client.
