The InFocus SP8602 1080p DLP Home Theater Projector is the projector to choose when you need big pictures with fine detail. Its 1,300 lumens and 5,000:1 contrast ratio give it the projection power to render large images up to 300" (7.6 m) at full 1080p HD with vivid color thanks to the Texas Instruments' 0.65" DarkChip DLP system.
Texas Instruments' patented DLP imager features an innovation it calls BrilliantColor. Unlike other technologies such as LCD that use just three primary colors to produce the image, DLP technology with BrilliantColor uses up to six separate colors. BrilliantColor not only improves color accuracy, it brightens secondary colors as well. This combination increases the brightness of the colors by up to 50 percent over DLP projectors without BrilliantColor for accurate, true-to-life images.
Those images can be in a wide variety of formats which include VGA (640 x 480), SVGA (800 x 600), XGA (1,024 x 768), SXGA (1,280 x 1,024), 720p (1,280 x 720), 1080p (1,920 x 1,080), 480p (854 x 480), 576p (1,024 x 576), SXGA+ (1,400 x 1,050), WSXGA+ (1,680 x 1,050), WUXGA (1,920 x 1,200), WXGA (1,280 x 800) and WXGA+ (1,440 x 900). It's also Mac and PC compatible.
The SP8602 can handle images in the NTSC, PAL and SECAM worldwide video standards and thanks to its multi-voltage power supply you can pretty much use it anywhere in the world where there's electricity. It's 12-language OSD makes communication easy.
Connectivity includes 2 HDMI connections for HD components like Blu-ray players as well as component, composite and S-video as well as RS-232 and USB type B for control. Other key features include Split-Screen Dual Images, convenient side-door lamp replacement, lens shift and keystone and flesh tone correction.
Finally, the SP8602 is not the kind of tech object you have to hide away. Did I mention that it's a really attractive component? The LiteTouch keypad is gently backlit to provide easy access to the most used projector functions. Connections are discreetly hidden under a back panel.
