The Intelix AVO-USB Extender Set is a transmitter/receiver set that extends 1.5 Mbps USB signals 330 ft and 12 Mbps signals 100 ft by CAT5/6 cables. What falls under the 1.5 Mbps category are keyboard, mice and similar low-data i/o device signals, and under the 12 Mbps category mostly external hard drive signals.
The extender supports only 1.5 Mbps and 12 Mbps transfer rates. Both USB 1.0 and 2.0 are capable of these rates, and accordingly, the extender accepts both USB 1.0 and 2.0 inputs. However, USB 2.0 is also capable of a 480 Mbps rate, which is good for transferring camera data, but the extender does not support this rate and will not be able to pass the signal, but it otherwise accepts USB 2.0 inputs. 1.5 Mbps is a "low-speed" USB rate, 12 Mbps is "full speed", and 480 Mbps is "high-speed".
The transmitter connects to the host device, and the receiver to the client device. The set works plug-and-play without any software requiring any menu setups.
