MuxLab 500018 Overview

The 500018 MuxLab S-Video/Audio GLI Balun allows transmission of an S-Video channel and a stereo audio channel via Cat5E/6 UTP (Unshielded Twisted Pair) cable. It transmits S-Video signals up to 1000’ (305m) and stereo audio signal up to 3250’ (990m).

The balun can work in conjunction with other standard MuxLab S-Video baluns such as 500016, 500017, 500038, and 500200. With an enclosure made of fire retardant plastic, the compact balun measures 2.40 x 2.25 x 1.00" and features GLI (Ground Loop Isolation) of up to 50VDC on the S-Video channel. It also includes a 6” dual RCA jumper cable for ease of installation.

Providing hassle-free wiring, the balun connects to S-Video equipment such as DVD players, VCR, satellite receivers, MPEG players, laptops, notebooks, monitors, LCD projectors, CCD cameras, video switchers, sequencers, digital video servers, video multiplexers, S-Video splitters, and S-Video converters.

Supporting S-Video equipment, the S-Video/Audio GLI Balun can be used in classroom, residential, and boardroom AV systems.
