  • 1Description

The Logitech K800 Wireless Illuminated Keyboard is a backlit keyboard that is compatible with Windows-based PCs or laptops. The small USB receiver plugs directly into the USB port on your computer with Plug-and-Play ease, without the need for any software installation.

This keyboard offers laser-etched, backlit keys that allow you to type easily even in environments with low lighting. The backlighting is adjustable, and hand proximity detection means sensors detect your hands as they approach the keyboard to turn the backlight on and off.

The sleek, streamlined design takes up minimal space on your desk and wireless connectivity gives you long-range freedom. This keyboard also features Logitech's PerfectStroke system so you can take advantage of comfortable, fluid, quiet typing. The K800 keyboard boasts a full-size layout so you can work quickly and comfortably, and it can be stored standing up to free up space on your desktop.

Advanced 2.4 GHz Wireless
A wireless connection means you can work or play in more places. The long-range wireless connection virtually eliminates delays, dropouts, and interference.
USB Unifying Receiver
The tiny USB receiver stays in your laptop. Plus, you can easily add a compatible wireless mouse or keyboard-without the hassle of multiple USB receivers.
Backlit Keys
You can type easily even in the dark with laser-etched, brightly backlit keys that provide precise illumination. Only the characters are illuminated, so you can see just what you need to see without distraction.
Adjustable Backlighting
The keyboard automatically adjusts the backlighting to suit the lighting conditions. Or you can adjust it the way you like it with the press of a button.
Hand Proximity Detection
Sensors in the K800 keyboard detect your hands as they approach the keyboard to intelligently turn the backlight on and off.
PerfectStroke Key System
The PerfectStroke key system distributes typing force evenly across key surfaces, making every keystroke comfortable, fluid, and whisper-quiet.
Comfortable, Quiet Typing
Durable concave keys position your fingers properly, and their softly rounded edges invite your fingertips to glide from key to key.
Easy to Recharge
To recharge, simply plug in the universal micro USB cable for three to six hours for up to 10 days of battery life. You can even type while it's recharging.

    Logitech K800 reviews

K800 Wireless Illuminated Keyboard is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 85.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from None Better Over the past few years I've spent hundreds on cheap keyboards with letter decals instead of incised letters. Those decals wear off all too easily. The cure is either a keyboard with incised letters or an illuminated keyboard. The least expensive keyboard with incised letters costs about the same as the K800. Its a no brainer. The K800 provides all the illumination you could want (unless you want a board that looks like the Vegas strip a night). The keyboard touch is way better than the cheap boards I bought for years. The K800 is guaranteed for 3 years and, the batteries are indeed replaceable. Download the free software for maximum versatility.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it I was using a laptop with an external monitor and the keyboard was the laptop. This meant that I had my head positioned to one side all day while I spent most of my time looking. My chiroprator visits started to increase, so I ditched the 20" monitor, got a sweet new 25" monitor and this keyboard and moved the laptop off my desk. Now my body is positioned good for hours of software development work. Why I'm happy: 1) Hate cords, love wireless where it makes sense 2) Love the feature that allows you to recharge your keyboard from USB. I've gone a month without recharging 3) Love the backlit keyboard that senses when your hands are near. I prefer a dark lit room to work in. 4) Love that the front edge slants nicely into your table top, so you don't need a wrist pad.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exceeded expectation After using this keyboard extensively for a week, I'm in love. No more sticking keys, no more squinting in the twilight (when I'm too engrossed to get up to turn on a light) and no more getting my foot caught in the cord. Setup was a snap, the keys are a generous size with a nice even feel when you tap. It's not cluttered up with features I'd never use but it has everything I'd use every day. And, the shape is nice and straight forward, so my favorite wrist pad hugs it perfectly. My stress level has been reduced and keyboarding is fun again.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Runaway Keyboard The new K800 wireless, backlit keyboard is great looking and has a good fairly good typing feel (it DOES require a positive stroke -- not as light as I expected), but on my XP SP3 Dell system, it has a totally annoying habit of frequently (like every 50 strokes or so) of running away with a letter. And once it starts it is hard to stop. It also will switch to Overtype mode on it's own. I'm not a touch typist, and have to look at the keys to type, and it is really aggravating to lose already-typed text when trying to insert new text. The keyboard is now in its box, awaiting a call to Logitech.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Logitek K800 Keyboard I am pleased with this keyboard with one exception. It seems to have more 'bounce' than the hard-wired keyboard which came with my computer. Perhaps I need a lighter touch than that required for the prior keyboard. I got the hot keys programmed and they work properly. I especially like the ability to work in the dark - no monitor glare. Would I recommend this. Yes, but you will have to adjust how you strike the keys.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from How did I live wihout it? My computer room is dark. The walls are dark and soak up any light that comes into the room. I've tried every trick in the book for lighting. I finally gave up changing the lighting, and settled for the K800. Wow. This is great. Forget about the dark room, the keyboard lights up very nicely. It has made a huge difference, and I am very happy to have bought this keyboard. Battery life is great - I am exceeding what Logitech says I should be getting. Every expectation has been met or exceeded.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellen - Can use with USB hub... Keyboard is great. I had some issues at first due to plugging the charging cable into my USB hub/switch. What I found was the keyboard kept constantly dropping. Turns out that there just wasn't enough power to the passive switch. To resolve, I realized that the cable is strictly for charging, and the USB wireless receiver is what matters. So now I have the charging cable plugged into PC 1 all the time, and I have the unifying receiver (with mouse too) on the USB switch (KVM). Works GREAT now that I realized that. Hope it helps someone else. Keyboard illumination is great. Key feel is excellent. Best combo of the feel of a laptop keyboard and a long-press regular desktop keyboard. Also, I'm a developer and appreciate the real function keys. Not a fan of what MS and others are doing turning the function keys into tiny after thoughts. :-)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from K800 Keyboard I wanted this for a special size on a keyboard drawer. It was not able to find a description of the dimensions on the website, but I took a chance, just looking at the pictures. It came very quickly but the size of the box it was shipped in gave me a thought it would be too big, However, when I opened it and put it on the drawer, it just right. It lights up very nicely at night, and anytime when I have it turned on. Sometimes it comes on and goes off on it's own, but I find it very comfortable and easy to use. Keys are set perfectly for me.
