The Grass Valley Storm 3G Elite with Edius 6 is a comprehensive signal interface package that includes the Storm 3G Elite breakout box with a PCIe 4X I/F Card, Express 34 bus card with connection cable, full version Edius 6 installation disk set, Edius 6 bonus disk, USB dongle, quickstart guide, and a hardware setup manual.

You are provided with dual 3G SDI video interfaces that offer the flexibility of being used as a single 3G SDI signal or a pair of high-definition and standard-definition signal outputs. Also included are 1080p-capable HDMI I/O, composite (SD only), and component (up to 1080i) analog video I/O. Four pairs of AES/EBU interfaces that take the form of 8 BNC connectors, each accommodating eight 24-bit audio I/Os up to 48 KHz, are also provided. Integrated into the Storm 3G Elite are 4 pairs of XLR balanced audio. Dedicated voice-over input is offered via a switchable line/mic.

Full-resolution, real-time monitoring is possible via the HDMI input and output by using the Edius NLE software. Bi-level and tri-level sync is provided for the reference input. You can use the dual RS-422 interfaces for controlling the VTR master and a slave. Also provided are a linear timecode I/O, reference input/through/out interfaces, and a locking power connector. HD/SD-SDI input and output is offered via embedded audio and timecode. You can simultaneously edit HD and SD video content in real time.

You can use the Storm 3G Elite with native video formats that include DV, HDV, AVCHD and uncompressed formats. Real-time SD/HD resolution, aspect ratio and frame-rate conversion is available for 16:9 to 4:3 and NTSC to PAL. Wide system compatibility is offered for Windows XP (32-bit), Windows Vista (32/64-bit), and Windows 7 (32/64-bit) operating systems.
