The Bosch DiBos DB18C3200R2 Digital Video Recorder (18-channel, 2 TB) records and saves captured videos in the MPEG-4 video format, and thus ensures better image quality and detail. Recording video feeds from a maximum of 18 analog cameras and 32 IP cameras; the DVR can also record audio feeds from a maximum of 42 audio inputs (10 Analog & 32 IP). Adequate data storage is available for the multiple data feeds via the video recorder’s 2 TB HDD. Recording in CIF/2CIF/4CIF video resolutions, and support for 4CIF video recording at speeds of up to 75/90 IPS (NTSC/PAL) are also available.
Viewing remote live feed, remote search and viewing of recorded content is offered via the remote receiver software; and the web-browser based remote access gives you the ability to playback recorded content and view feeds from almost anywhere in the world at any time via both public and private networks. A scalable GUI allows you to view multiple feeds from a single location, and also makes it easy to easy to add new cameras and devices.
Remote configuration of Bosch AutoDome, Dinion, and FlexiDome cameras is provided via Bilinx support and can be used to control both local and remote PTZ cameras. Support for alarm-trigger recording and interfacing with Bosch alarm panels, and support for event- and time schedule-based recording presets and sequencing is present; you can also set the DVR to automatically send an email upon the occurrence of an event to a predetermined address. Using the Bosch DVR in large setups is very much an ease because it also supports multiple camera manufacturers’ protocols.
The Bosch DVR also can playback multiple camera feeds in synchronization, and comes with smooth, variable-speed playback that lets you view, forward, rewind, and play any of the feeds as and how you desire. This results in fast, easy retrieval and analysis of recorded images and events. In addition to providing automatic/manual control of up to 2 spot monitors, the DB18C3200R2 allows independent sequencing of selected cameras.
In the absence of an event, the DiBos recorder automatically shows the default camera feed or sequence; it also lets you search specific areas of images for changes, thus reducing search times. There is no need for a manual search because the DVR comes with a fast and powerful image search; further, note that the advanced search options are available over all connected analog cameras
With the DiBos digital video recorder, you can set the recorded image quality to change automatically upon a motion or an alarm-based trigger: by means of this, you can ensure the highest recording quality in the event of an alarm and can lower the recording quality under normal circumstances, for better utilization of the available storage space and surveillance capability.
