Smart-AVI HDX-RX100 Overview

The Smart AVi HDX-RX100 HDMI Receiver accepts signals from the HDMI HDX-TX100S transmitter and allows the transfer of HDMI signals to a local display and a display monitor that is up to 150' away via CAT6 STP cabling. It offers HD images (1080p) up to a resolution of 1920 x 1200. The receiver comes with a power supply (PS5VDC1A) and is ideal for use in retail locations, bars, lounges and showroom floors.

Installing the CPU in a remote, secure location such as a computer room or back office of a business allows you to broadcast HD media to customers at a bandwidth of 1.65 GBps while being able to view the displayed content on a local display. The HDX-RX100 HDMI Receiver learns the DDC (Display Data Channel) of the display device and adapts to the different display settings of the device such as brightness and contrast ratio. With a plug-n-play setup, this compact (6.37 x 5.18 x .87") receiver can be easily connected to any digital display network.

Problematic with some of the new Mac connections

This worked in our conference room pretty flawlessly for many years but as of the new MacBook Pros (2013 and after) there are issues with the MacBook Pros not recognizing the HDMI connection and thus not working. We've had to replace these with a hardwired HDMI solution (just a long HDMI cable) in our conference rooms. Some of our rooms with newer boxes (possibly other brands) still work so do your research carefully if you have newer HDMI Sources such as the MacBook Pros.
