Lastolite LL LA2455 overview

  • 1Description

The Lastolite TriFlash Sync Bracket is the same bracket as the TriFlash Shoe Lock bracket but with important enhancements. Like the Shoe Lock, the TriFlash Sync allows you to mount up to three portable flashes on a single bracket, which can then be mounted on a standard 5/8" (15.87 mm) stud. An umbrella socket allows the use of a reflective or shoot-through umbrella.

Additionally the TriFlash Sync includes a built in optical slave which can be set to recognize 1, 2 or 3 pre-flashes or none at all. This is an important attribute for those using various red-eye reduction or TTL systems. The bracket also includes a 3.5 - 3.5 (mini - mini) and 3.5 mm - PC male sync cords for use of other brands of triggering devices. A cold shoe is provided to accommodate receivers with a male shoe mount. However, the TriFlash brackets are not compatible with Sony flash units.

Cold shoe and PC cords included for third-party brands and male shoe mount receivers
Built-in slave has pre-flash recognition

    Lastolite LL LA2455 reviews

TriFlash Sync Bracket is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Security Having bought one, going to buy two more on next purchase order. I like: The end raiser on the shoe plate making location of the locking pin on the flash easier. The additional locking facility design (thumb screw) - much better than most. Two receptors for different accessory shafts. Light weight but seems strong. I dislike: A tad expensive. For the money could have done with a handle (secured in one of the accessory holes) to assist tilt; I have so far used this with 3 Canon 600EX-RTs (with Canons) or the same mounted on PocketWizard FlexTT5s (when used with Olympus EM1s). I have not as yet tried the electrical links - will do once I have two more units.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Top notch Tri-Flash Sync Bracket We looked for a product that could securely hold three nikon speedlights on location with light miodifiers and abbility to trigger all three lights. We have found the one we like best. We did first buy a Lastolite Joe McNally bracket and then found this Lastolite unit. The McNally unit surely is a great one with swivel shoes to keep speedlights ready to accept CLS signal. We do though like the feature of the sync model that has three hot shoes tied in together to be 'tripped' optically or wired or by remote transmitters/receivers. Really like the construction and hardyness of the unit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The new Lastolite TriFlash is awesome The new triflash, with sync, is everything you would want in an item of this type. It will hold 1-3 flash heads and can be triggered optically. In addition, there is a sync socket so it can be radio triggered. You can have it ignore preflashes by a switch selection. I fire it into an umbrella and it provides great light, and fast recycle times. Outside, it allows overriding of ambient light, because of the power of three flash heads.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Niiiice Very Happy with this so far, can trigger 3 flash guns simultaniously with just one reciever. Now have the ability & power with speed lites to over power the sun, get ultra fast recycle times, and have can fill up a 86'' umbrella that my 1 light alone could not. I use it with 3 Canon 580exII's without any issues. Just rememeber it does require a little button batttery, so keep a spare in your bag incase it dies on a shoot, you wont be stuck in a bad situation

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not Worth It Poor quality, exhorbitant price, unreliable. Should learn about quality from Manfrotto, compared to the quality of say a Manfrotto umbrella adapter, this thing is a piece of junk. Flashes with P/wizard fired about 5% of the time, built-in-sync 0%, I wasted plenty money on this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from TriFlash Sync by Lastolite quite expensive one...but useful for lighting synchronization of flashes...and you dont need and extra trigger's to fire all 3 different brand of speedlights a the same time...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It is what it is. I bought after recommendation from pro-photographer. I does exactly what it says it does, construction is good, my canon 3x 580ii fit and work with it no problem. I believe its good value for the price. If I bought more speedlites I would likely buy another triflash.
