This is a great idea and may be an excellent product. Please be aware, however, that this requires a Windows operating system to set up (and perhaps use). Per the suggestion of a B&H representative, Mac users could consider using an Apple TV connected to the projector.

Having a wireless connection to the projector is really handy, and this gets a thumbs-up for convenience. However the PJD ViewSonic Projector we have only displays a 4:3 resolution when connected to a computer wirelessly. This is probably a fault with the projector or generic ViewSonic presentation software.

Which is better, this one or the WP200?Or can I just use a cheap dongle?
Avoid the Viewsonic dongle at ALL cost! It's junk. I did a little research before buying mine and there were some negative reviews (sorry I can't post the links to them, but you should be able to find some reviews). I thought that maybe they had just received a bad one and mine would be fine. I was wrong. I sent mine back as defective. The replacement basically did the same thing so I tossed it in a box in the corner. I ran an ethernet cable from my ceiling-mounted projector to a wi-fi router and access it that way. It never skips a beat. The Viewsonic dongle would lockup communication with the projector and I would have to do a hard power down every time I tried to establish comm with it. Tech support will not be able to help you (if they call you back).
