The AverMedia EXR6004 Mini Pure IP NVR (4-Channel) features embedded Linux and has the capability to allow several independent authorized users to remotely view the videos. Each of its 4 channels has 2.3 megapixel support. The NVR supports H.264, MPEG4, and MJPEG IP video streams and allows continuous, motion, event or smart (motion based escalation of recording frame rates from low to high) - videos can be manually recorded or can be scheduled for automatic recording. When the disk gets full, the EXR6004 NVR can automatically recycle storage space. The easy-to-understand interface makes it easier to manage videos. Several devices such as Windows Mobile, iPhone, Blackberry, laptops, and remote computers with an internet connection can be used to view video remotely. The EXR6004 NVR supports more than 50 brands of IP cameras. It offers a VGA output for a local monitor connection in up to 1024 x 768 resolution and channel auto scan with 1 and 4 screen splits. Images (.jpg) can be easily captured from live video. Dual LAN ports allow you to create 2 individual networks (1 for cameras and 1 for remote access traffic), thus helping reduce bandwidth problems. Watchdog function restores the system to its normal operation in case of any fault. The EXR6004 allows system and/or IP camera support updates to be obtained through USB drives and offers a local monitor connection that allows you to view and control it locally as well as remotely. Built-in eSATA interface provides enhanced storage. The NVR allows you to perform a parameter-based search for video by date, time, event, and event log file. An advanced event log search can also be carried out by event, operation, system and network activities. It also supports up to 8 e-maps that display camera, sensor, and relay positions. Tasks such as recording, rebooting, and enabling of network activity can be scheduled either as a one-time task or as a recurring weekly task. Along with built-in playback controls for date and time, the EXR6004 NVR has highly sensitive playback controls to fast-forward or rewind at various speeds. Up to 32 user accounts can be managed, with each account having its own password and user privileges. Backup data can be stored in either a CD-R/RW, DVD-R/RW or external HDDs. The iEnhance feature helps manipulate light, noise, and color in the videos and the iStable feature smoothens shaking and jolts. There are 2 types of de-interlace methods for analog cameras that are optimized for static or dynamic scenes and help to deliver smoother images. Alarms and notifications can be set for various functions such as starting video recording and enlarging triggered video, following a sensor with EXR server relays, launching the triggered channel’s corresponding e-map, sending e-mails, playing a warning sound, and sending video to the Central Management System.
