Ordered two different mic shields at the same time - this one (ordered from B&H) worked right out of the box with no modifications. It does not 'ring' like the other non-PrimAcoustic brand does.
Cool little product!

Used this for a drum recording session. The snare tracks came out great with A LOT less of the hi-hat and other drum sounds in the mix. I had to set this up quickly, I would suggest working with it a bit before a recording session to make sure you are comfortable with positioning etc.
