I bought this for my Galaxy S5 phone so I could have a long charging cord in my bedroom. The Micro B connection is upside down, meaning the USB logo is on the down side, as compared to most other cables, so you have to remember this. This wouldn't be a major issue, but the cable easily falls out of the phone connector, compared to the Samsung-supplied cable, which stays in quite well.

This quality of this cable is awesome. Its a strong durable cable (not like very brille cheap cables) and it offers the high speed connections usb 3.0 should. I much rather use this for my external drive than the cable that came with it.
