  • Short Throw Technology
  • 4,600:1 Contrast Ratio
  • WXGA (1,200 x 800) Native Resolution
The BenQ MW811ST WXGA DLP Projector is a powerful, versatile projector with 2,500 ANSI lumens of brightness at a 4,600:1 contrast ratio that renders large, bright images even when you have a fair amount of ambient light to cope with.

The ST in MW811ST stands for short throw, an attribute that makes this projector a favorite of educators. The MW811ST can fill a 95" (2.4 m) screen from only 39" (1 m) away. BenQ MW811ST Overview

What that means is more floor space for audience members, less interruptions and less chance of you being an inadvertent shadow puppet by interfering with the beam.

But the MW811ST can do lots more than make large bright pictures. For one thing, it can make them all over the world. It's got an international auto-switching 100 - 240 volt 50 / 60Hz power supply and it can project video in the NTSC, PAL and SECAM standards. And speaking of international, its onscreen display (OSD) offers your choice of 26 languages.

The MW811ST is also compatible with most Macintosh and PC resolution / sync rates and of course it does 720p, 1080i and 1080p high resolution. The projector's wide connectivity includes component, composite, USB, S-video and audio inputs. With all of those input possibilities you'll appreciate Quick Auto Search, which finds the live input and selects it automatically. The MW811ST also projects Closed Captioning from sources that provide it. Other convenience features include Freeze Frame and a "Q?" Hot Key for FAQ.

The MW811ST makes beautiful, vivid pictures thanks to its Texas Instruments DLP DMD (Digital Light Processor Digital Micromirror Device) imaging panel with BrilliantColor. These millions of microscopic mirrors operate so fast that they can project one image for each eye, making 3D in your home and office a reality. Just bring the 3D glasses and programming. Your projector is ready to bring you everything from fantastic scientific visualizations to stunning 3D movies. BenQ was the first company to use BrilliantColor technology in its projectors. The MW811ST makes all of this magic while drawing a maximum of 290 watts. In Standby mode it draws less than a single watt.

This projector also has four picture modes for PC and A/V inputs. The modes are specialized for brightly lit rooms, presentations, viewing photos and watching movies plus two user modes allow you to save your own picture preferences.

A Presentation that Widens Your View
Featuring WXGA resolution, 4,600:1 high contrast and 2,500 ANSI lumens, the MW811ST offers a 95" picture in only 1m - broadening learning with an extra 30% of stunning colors and crisp-clear text! With 3D ready, interactive whiteboard and LAN / USB Display support, the MW811ST is the perfect tool to teach and present in small-sized settings!
Exclusive Aspherical Lens Design for the Ultimate Short Throw Projection
A global DLP expert, BenQ excels as the #1-selling brand in the world-wide short throw projector market. This undisputed short throw leader offers picture quality excellence defined by astonishing color performance and well-focused text projection with its own aspherical lens design which offers a boosted image zoom rate.
The Good Things That Come in Short Distances
Zero Space Constraints
  • Just imagine the freedom of having the same projection quality at half the required distance. You'll have better flexibility in choosing projection locations
    Zero Eye-blinding Lights
  • The short throw projection distance keeps the projector beam away from your eyes, allowing you to focus on your audience
    Zero Disruptions
  • Say goodbye to shadows that often disrupt your presentation. With a projection distance this close, you and your audience can move freely without worrying about obstructions
  • 3D Ready for Immersive Educational, Gaming and Entertainment Viewing
If you've seen a recent 3D movie in a movie theater, chances are the 3D effect was generated by a DLP Cinema projector. That same, basic technology has been applied to the MW811ST. DLP technology uses millions of digital microscopic mirrors (Digital Micromirror Devices or DMDs) that reflect light to create a stunning picture. This imaging technology is so fast, it can actually produce two images on the screen at the same time: one for the left eye and one for the right eye. Then 3D glasses combine the two images to create an amazing 3D effect. This projector is ready for the revolution. All you need to add is 3D glasses and 3D programming.
    Classroom Initiative 3D Case Study
3D visualization is researched and proven to help all types of students excel in class. Classroom DLP 3D Initiative's recent case study shows a dramatic improvement of 35% in test scores from pilot implementation of 3D simulations across the state of Illinois.
    LAN Control Centralized Projector Management
LAN Control is designed to help IT managers perform day-to-day projector maintenance and repair tasks efficiently and effectively, offering them full access and control over every projector directly from their workstations. It's just what you need to save energy, time and money.

The BenQ MW811ST offers seamless support for your original LAN control setting, whether it's Crestron, PJ-Link or SNMP. It also comes with a built-in projector network control system uniquely designed by BenQ for your convenience. All it takes is a LAN cable to set things up!

    20W Microphone Audio Power
The MW811ST features 20W of audio power and microphone input to empower your presentation. Two 10W speakers are sealed and secured within each side of the projector with BenQ's anti-shake design to deliver crisp, clear audio quality and projection stability, while the microphone input connects you to conventional and wireless microphones and microphone headsets. What's more, the MW811ST can be used as a stand-alone audio system even when it's on Standby mode. Finally, you can have a blast presenting without straining your voice or your budget.
    Hassle-free PC-less Presentation
Enjoy a hassle-free presentation with the USB Reader and Remote Desktop functions. The USB Reader function enables a JPEG presentation with a USB flash drive. It's as easy as and plug-and-play. The Remote Desktop function allows you to present using a wireless mouse and keyboard. Consider it an upgrade from the USB Reader option. You'll get to access everything from your computer remotely on the projection screen. Going PC-less also means you'll get to save on computer purchase, maintenance and repair for your school or company.
Multiple Display Options for Various Office and Classroom Needs
  • USB display offers the plug-and-play convenience of USB connection with automatic resolution detection for the best image presentation and extension support for simultaneous multi-projection display.
  • LAN display offers a cost-effective solution for projector implementation management using a single LAN cable to control and display. This feature also offers simultaneous 1-8, 4-1 or partial projection display options for better content management of discussions, presentations, training and classroom teaching.
  •

    Closed Captioning
Display subtitles in video content without the need for an external closed-captioning device with the MW811ST. It's perfect for viewing in educational settings such as language classes where a transcript of onscreen dialog is desirable.
    Thoughtful Teaching Template Design
To make your teaching job easier, BenQ has added the teaching template function to the MW811ST. Now, with four different line pattern designs to choose from - Letter Formation, Musical Staff, Worksheet and Coordinate Chart, you can easily write or draw on whiteboards as well as blackboards without the need of drawing lines or charts.
Excel with VIDI Superior Image Projection
To ensure the best possible image quality for all presentations no matter the setting or content, BenQ worked closely with Philips and Texas Instruments to create VIDI (Unishape) - a sophisticated lamp lighting technology that dynamically adapts lamp output to each image / scene with millisecond precision to optimize brightness, color correction, and dark detail definition.
    Customize with 3D Color Management
We're talking about a totally different kind of 3D here. With 3D Color Management you can individually manage not just three colors (red, green and blue) but six: RGB plus magenta, cyan and yellow. Color management provides fine color control adjustment to allow for more accurate color reproduction, should you require it. It's typically used in permanent home theater installations by experienced videophiles and technicians who have the equipment to tune colors to the most exacting standards.
Network Ready with an RJ-45 Jack
You can easily connect your MW811ST to your LAN via the projector's RJ-45 (Ethernet) jack. The projector has its own HTTP page for remote monitoring and control from anywhere on your network. Its internal web page has buttons that function the same way the ones on the remote control and onscreen display (OSD) do.
Quick Auto Search Finds the Active Input Fast
You often might have multiple inputs plugged in to the projector. With Quick Auto Search activated it will automatically switch to the one that's got the live signal.
