The Live TV Specialist Kit from DSC Labs bundles four items that form a complete system for calibrating the color and focus of cameras involved in HDTV production.
At the heart of the kit is a chart designed specifically for HDTV: the ChromaDuMonde 12+4-R Senior CamAlign Chart with Resolution. Its six vector colors produce a precise hexagonal-shaped display on a vectorscope for evaluating a camera's color matrix. The chart's dual crossed 11-step grayscale enables setting camera gamma. Additionally, the ChromaDuMonde 12+4-R features six intermediate color patches, four skin-tone patches, and two hyperbolic resolution trumpets. The chart includes the latest SMPTE 274M (ITU-R BT.709) international colorimetry standard and supports HD, SD, and NTSC television production in 4:3 and 16:9 aspect ratios.
The Backfocus Expanded Senior Focus Pattern Chart enables shooters to set critical focus with reliable precision. The chart's bow-tie star comprises 56 crisp wedges of brilliant white and dense black, which allow for optimal focusing at both the edges and the center of an image.
Designed for use with DSC Labs charts, the CamStand is an aluminum stand that makes it easy to reposition your chart around a setup.
All three above items fit snugly in the fourth, the CamFolder Senior carrying case. The sturdy padded case holds up to four DSC Labs Senior-size charts, and a side pouch carries the CamStand.
