Works Like a Charm

Our little program started just 3 years ago - and our free floating, all angles ball mounted camera was all sorts of skewed during our news broadcasts. Now, with the H40: smooth pan, smooth tilt = great show! It fit the budget and does the job. Exactly what the chat via text tech at B&H said it would do. Thanks!

Bad design

This head is inexpensive, but the functionality is limited. Good build for the money. The tilt lock moves the head(and camera ) in the process of locking the tilt. Not usable for pro work. The tilt lock is on the perimeter of the head, would work better in the center of the tilt.

Great Tripod Head

Does a great job. very smooth and easy to control. Strong and good quality, The only downside is that the vertical lock is not a strong as I would like. We have a lot of instances at our church where we set the camera angel for a sermon for 15+ minutes. The greater the angel from the default position the harder the head tries to return to the default. So locking in the right spot can be tough from far location at a vertical angle.

question

Tell me, is this truly an actual fluid head? Thank you in advance.
Asked by: Anonymous
We spoke with Acebil and they say yes, this is a fluid head. In fact, the entire Acebil line is fluid head except for the entry level consumer models.
