I have an Acebil tripod and liked the slider plate, I bought and extra one to upgrade my camera rig which had a plastic plate. Worked great

Easy to make multiple tripods and stabilizers all uniform.

This is an easy way to make multiple differing brands of tripods and stabilizers all uniform. The price and availability of this unit and extra plates is easier and less expensive than adding more expensive, proprietary plates for some brands of tripods. No complaints. Well made, solid and smoothly functioning. The design of the two I just received does differ slightly from the one I got 2 years ago. The first one is composed of a one-piece body with 4 threaded holes of 3 different sizes along the centerline. There are 4 beveled holes to allow the addition of a lower body piece, but there was no lower body piece installed. On the newer units, the lower body piece is installed and it only has two threaded holes on the centerline in the two standard sizes. There are also 4 beveled holes to allow this lower body piece to be installed on a cheeseplate. The difference is you can't just take the lower body piece off and use the main upper body because the upper body has the standard holes but they aren't threaded. This didn't prevent me from using the two new units, but it was a significant difference that I didn't expect.

question

what are the dimensions
Asked by: Will H.
The dimensions listed by staff are not accurate for the QRSS assembly (small). The actual dimensions are 3.7 inches long, by 3.7 inches wide when counting the knob and safety, and 1.2 inches thick not counting the mounting screw which will be buried in the bottom of the camera. The width of the main body when not counting the knob and safety is 2.7 inches.

question

How does this fit on a Canon T5i?
Asked by: Daniel G.
It fits regular dSLR cameras just fine. The anti-rotation pin is spring-loaded so it just presses downward and out of the way for cameras that don't have an anti-rotation hole in front of the regular 1/4-20 mounting thread.
