The Bolide Technology Group Wide Dynamic Vari Focal Camera uses a 1/3" Pixim chip with advanced wide dynamic range technology to help the camera adjust to extreme lighting environments. By separately processing the bright and dark regions of an image WDR functionality ensures properly exposed images with all the important details of a scene perfectly displayed. A WDR camera is therefore an important tool for monitoring areas with unbalanced lighting, a common issue in locations where there's a strong presence of sunlight.
This camera captures clear images of the surveillance scene at a resolution of 540 TV lines. Additionally, this camera employs an automatic white balance function to help maintain proper color temperature under different lighting sources (i.e. sunlight, incandescent, fluorescent, halogen). With its 0.8 minimum illumination requirement this camera also performs well in low light.
Built into the camera is a 4-9mm lens which you can manually adjust for focal length to suit a particular viewing requirement. This lens has an auto iris function and will self adjust its aperture size in response to changing light intensities. If needed you can replace the included lens with an industry standard C/CS mount lens of your choice. The camera also has a built-in OSD menu for configuring and changing camera parameters.
