The DVR combines the functionality of a DVR, LCD monitor, and multiplexer in a space saving and easy to install unit. H.264 technology is employed to generate high video quality images at low bit rates. The result is better utilization of storage resources and network bandwidth.
The DVR's network function will enable you to access live camera feeds via an Internet browser or on your 3G mobile phone device. You can also set the DVR to send you motion detection alerts via email. Multiple users can access the DVR simultaneously over the network. This DVR features 4 BNC video inputs and, on account of its built-in multiplexer, can simultaneously perform three operations - live/playback, record, and network - without degrading system performance. An RS-485 connection will let you control PTZ cameras right from the DVR. Support for Pelco-P and Pelco-D communication protocols ensures interoperability with various brands of PTZ cameras. There's also a built-in NTP time synchronization function to ensure that accurate time is recorded for all video clips.
The DVR includes a single internal 500GB SATA drive which can be upgraded to 1TB maximum. It also has a USB port to facilitate easy offloading of event material to a USB flash drive or CD/DVD burner. The included USB mouse lets you easily navigate the DVR menu during setup and operation.
