Vanguard QS-39 Overview

The Vanguard QS-39 Quick Release Plate is a quick release camera plate that attaches to your camera for quick mounting to a tripod head and easy removal. It features a standard 1/4"-20 screw whose positioning is adjustable. The QS-39 quick shoe fits many Vanguard ball heads (SBH series) and pan heads (PH series).

Yep, it's a tripod plate alright. But the wrong one. Not for the Vanguard Alta PH series like it says. That needs an Arca Swiss type plate or whatever that was called. I dunno. When I went to Tripod School I slept through that part of the course.

This plate does not have a D ring to tighten to camera.

The product is well made but lacks a D ring to tighten to the camera. This is a bit of an issue as you must carry around a screwdriver or a coin to tighten. Most other companies with similar products have the D ring.

No, but most any Arca Swiss plate ought to work with the L-205. Here is the recommended plate for the Sirui. Sirui TY70-2 Arca-Type Pro Quick Release Plate B&H # SISUTY702

QS-03 is not a tripod or head but a number for a qr plate that has been discontinued and no longer available.

Doesn't appear so. The Dolica plate is square. The QS-39 plate is slightly rectanglular.
